What is international tabletop day?
Tabletop Day is also a day to celebrate those who come to the table in contest or cooperation. It is a time of friends tasked with war and strangers finding a common bond to survive through the next turn. We honour the communities that gather around the table, those who bring the winning spirit and sportsmanship to play with others. We play not just against the board, but with others. To you who manage groups, bring new people to the table, and find that one night out of the month to bring your team together to fight a dragon; this day is for you.
International Tabletop Day (ITTD), is a worldwide celebration of tabletop gaming for all members of our incredible community. In its seventh year, the day-long event is filled with gaming events, charity fundraising, and collaborative online entertainment.
Tabletop day as coined by Geek & Sundry https://geekandsundry.com/ is a celebration of all things tabletop games, board games, RPG’s and everything in between.
The idea is to grab some games and some friends and just play!
How can I get involved?
If you’re not lucky enough to have a board game arena near you fear not!
You can still get your board game on locally by having a look for local games venues, retailers and community with the neat tabletop day website.
There are events happening all over the world so have a look if you want to partake in games locally.
If you can’t get to a local event Geek and sundry will be hosting live games throughout the day as well as charity drives on their YouTube channel here.
How are we celebrating?
Here at GeekyClean we are celebrating international tabletop day by visiting our local board game area counter culture games as well as preparing for our weekly dungeons & dragons sessions with Friends.
